I teach all ages. Serving Westchester County and Riverdale, Bronx. here’s one of my students, Yonah, age 10, working on his Octopus painting.

I’ve finally added photos of my recent tattoo work- starting back in August. unfortunately they aren’t necessarily in chronological order but I’m going to work on that. There’s definitely a distinct progression and improvement between each one. Waiting to get some “healed” photos too!

I finally received my Masters Degree diploma. Lately I have been apprenticing at Yonkers Ink; a Tattoo Shop owned by The Original “Tony Tatts” in my hometown Yonkers, NY! Learning lots tattooing my friends and watching the amazing staff of artists there.

I also have been teaching a few Art Courses to Junior High School students at Riverdale Community Center. Presently the courses that I am teaching are The Art of Collage and Expressionist Painting. I also have been adding new clients to my Art at Home Business and the students are developing really well!

I am going to attempt to update some of my galleries now so stay tuned and check them out!

I will be exhibiting a series of paintings at the Museum at F.I.T’s Capstone exhibit titled “Hurly Burly” along with 13 other classmates. The Museum at F.I.T. is located at 227 West 27^th Street at 7th Avenue in Manhattan. The exhibit opens with a reception on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, 5:30- 7:30pm and runs through July 5, 2011. Museum hours are Tuesday through Friday 12pm-8pm and Saturdays from 10am-5pm. The exhibit is a display of the graduate program students’ work and the culmination of my Master’s degree program.

My exhibit, titled “Living Art”, includes paintings along with a painted mannequin and mirror display. My work is an exploration of art and life and will depict portraits of tattooed women.  The symbolism of the subjects’ own personal tattoo art will metamorphose with the subject and the canvas in a blending of art and life.

The paintings are a combination of expressionistic oil and acrylic painting with more graphic tattoo-related iconography. I have been researching the art of tattoo for my Master’s thesis and have been apprenticing with a professional tattoo artist in order to learn the craft myself. My research of tattoo history paired with my experiences of tattooing others, has helped me solidify the concepts of my illustrations for the show which I consider to be  “Living Art”.

I plan to continue a tattoo apprenticeship along with teaching private art lessons and freelancing as an editorial illustrator and designer upon graduation in May of this year.
